Hello everyone!
My name is Tyler and I am one of the original co-founders of this website. Formally, we went by the Historic Architecture Protection Society, but as time has went on, our membership as well as our mission has drastically changed. We are still committed to documenting abandoned and forgotten KC sites, but we’d like to offer the community more than that.
My goal with this group is to uncover, document, and consolidate resources that tell the unique stories of Kansas City; then provide those resources to the public for use in their own research. This is a hobby site, that I take part in my free time. This website is a passion project for me, and I work independent of any other KC historical societies.
Our website is under heavy construction as well as our archive. My hope is that I will be able to share the various stories I’ve pieced together very soon.
